You will need some way to get past these gates and doors and as mentioned - with a lighting control and automation system - this will usually be via a remote control. 

RF Remote Controls are available in either static or rolling code - rolling code offers better secuirty as the code cant be recorded by a third party with a scanner and then repeated at will.

Some remote controls are available in Weigand format, where the code sent is a secure format, but each remote is treated like a unique key-fob, excellent for commercial applications with many users.
